Blog Revival

Testing.
One. Two.
Testing.
Hello?! Peeps?! Anybody out there?!
I miss you guys and I am going to try to clobber my writers block and jump back in. How about we just pick back up where we left off--ok?
Quilting? Anyone?
I have spent the first few weeks of January finishing old projects. I have had this quilt basted and ready for the quilting for exactly one year. One year when my studio has been so piled full of yarn that the sewing machine could hardly come up for breath. But I heard that January has been officially declared International Sew For Myself Month* so it's time to get this bad boy done.
Trivia for ya: It takes 36 bobbins to quilt a king size quilt. That equals about 12 taped episodes of David Letterman.
Soooo..............what are you working on?
*just kidding I just made that up!

Welcome back. One of my goals for 2012 was to blog everyday. (Note the past tense!) You know what I discovered in the first days of January? I don't have that much interesting stuff to share - and blogging should be fun, not a chore. So - I'm back to blogging when I want to or when I have something to share. So - glad you're back but don't sweat the small stuff!
Congrats on getting the quilt quilted. I like measuring things in bobbins - I do that myself.

Yup, we're here! and that is one beautiful quilt--something about the clear soft blues and reds that is very appealing. A good morning-sunlight quilt. Happy 2012!

OMG I haven't watched Letterman in AGES! I should get back in the habit.

Your sewing machine and my welder should start a support group!

My first project of 2012 was finishing a (much smaller) quilt that had been started three years ago. It was so satisfying to Finish Something. But it was nowhere close to a 36 bobbin marathon.
